As many of you may be aware, my situation has been a case of a protracted separation - nearly 6 months with no contact. The final outcome that has been predicted for my situation is still some time off, but I wanted to share a small victory today. I consider it huge for me, but small in the sence that some of the advisors may be aware that my birthday is today, October 4, and hence perhaps the chances of contact coming today as opposed to another day in the month are higher. I asked all the advisors I consulted with in the last month if I would hear from my ex soon.
He called today!! We only spoke in a friendly manner, so there was not talk of reconciliation....but we spoke for the first time in many months and for 20-30 minutes.
