Started a new job and it takes a lot of my time. I also need to buy a new home and a car so I’ve got that on my plate. I’m going to need to learn to cook. I think just because she said it makes you think “I need to do this right away” but I really don’t. When I’m more settled then it’ll
be a good time. But in the mean time I’m going to get my certifications.

Notacrystalfreak - I had a similar convo on here with someone before, but one of my biggest mistakes in life was deciding to study a course which TAROT recommended me. It was the most miserable time of my life! And a waste of money.
However, this sounds like something you genuinely want and would enjoy, so a very good investment of time + money!
Try asking for a sign in your dream or do some breath wok/meditation on it? If you feel like it's too soon, then it probably is. Just do it when it feels right. And please ignore what people are saying, if it feels right in your heart, then it IS! In fact, getting a second or even a third or a fourth degree is AWESOME. I will be on the track to get my third degree soon and can't wait to learn a lot of new things. It keeps your brain young, you gain new knowledge...  life should be about constant growth and learning anyways! Getting out of that comfort zone. Some family members are also telling me that getting another degree is too much, but they haven't learnt new skills or language in YEARS. To me THAT is too much.  :P
I read a great quote just a few days ago Comfort zone is a beautiful place! But nothing ever grows there.
Good luck with your journey!!

You know, you just reminded me of a reading I had over a decade ago. This reader insisted that I was going to be working in Education. I was like... ummmmm... not even close to what I've been doing or what I desire to do. She was so adamant that this was my "life's path". Guess, what? It's not and I felt it at the time. Just underscoring-trust your gut!

@Notacrystalfreak If you wanted to get started some where I would look at learning platforms like LinkedIn Learning for the basics and then something like TryHackMe or Udemy. I do this for a living. Been in tech since 2017-ish. The market is going through some challenges right now with AI initiatives taking some lower/entry level roles. So I moved to an adjacent role, plus I freelance and consult on the side as well. Let me know how I can help.  You are welcome to message me anytime for any advice/support. Always happy to help.

Thank you!! First of all how did you go 5 years reading free? I could never do that. I always get a reading every 6 months or once a year. To me that’s healthy.

And basically I’ve got a degree in combined STEM. I was doing physics but third year was so hard and not fun that I decided to change to combined STEM. I thought I wanted to do data science so I picked related modules. I also signed up to a course in data science with Careerera. I’ve also done a software developer bootcamp but tbh I don’t want to be a software developer. I think network engineering will be more fun and more of a well defined role where you follow rules. Software development I don’t know how people do it, with 100 different languages, having to do detailed research whenever something doesn’t work out, yeah I did the bootcamp and I was so bad at the part where we had to make our own app. My team mates did most of it. Anyway I digress. I still loved coding though.

What area in tech do you work in? I’m grateful to have an Admin job until I actually figure out what I want to do.
