I spent £180 this year
« on: August 24, 2024, 07:57:37 PM »
Anyway I’m really stuck.

I’m indecisive of whether to do a second degree in Computing and IT or to do a masters in Data Science. I feel like I’d definitely enjoy the degree more, but sometimes I think it would be smarter to do a masters since it’s cheaper.

Psychic said masters.
My own tarot cards were saying degree.

The psychic is a relatively good one. Not 100% but she’s got some things right.

How do I choose between two conflicting advice :/. I feel like the cards cannot be wrong but the psychic might.

Hi. Make a list of the pros and cons of both the degree and masters. For example, do you want to study for another 3 or 5 years or just do the masters in a much shorter amount of time, what career prospects are there for them? Don’t rely on a psychic’s advice. You could talk to someone at the Universities to see what career the qualifications could lead to and find out what you would enjoy doing. Hope it goes well 💐

I’d do a bit of a cost-benefit analysis on jobs, cost, marketability, time (part-time or full-time) etc
Data Science is pretty hot right now but I’m not sure what career you’d like to land in.

I agree with Chocolate that you can seek help from universities, may even make sense to reach out to people that have studied in each of those programs. You got this!

I might be too late to the party here, but what does your intuition tell you? Because I took tarot's advice in the past and went for a university which had the best cards... and ended up hating my degree... if you still have time to decide, just go with what feels right ... and as others have advised on here, perhaps try and meet reps from both institutions and ask as many questions as possible... if you are having to pay for this qualification, then it is best to go with your gut instinct, rather than what a psychic or tarot tells you. x

It could be that the tarot wanted to save you from an even worse situation? I’ve found that in the past. I kept getting awful cards for a masters. Turns out I’ve got a job now! Without the masters. Now that I’ve got a job I can relax and do my second degree which is what my heart really wants x

Notacrystalfreak- I think maybe it was one of those moments where I was supposed to go with my intuition and not rely on what 'some' cards tell me.. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for my tarot cards, they have been with me since I were a kid, but they were totally wrong on this... I could have studied for free, but instead I chose a university that I ended up hating and took out a huge student loan, while my degree is useless... but, I was very young then and did not quite understand the consequences of my actions. :) something similar happened when I needed to choose some sub tenants for a flat I was living in- I listened to the cards when my intuition was saying something else- and cards ended up being wrong... I have since then gone with my intuition where it feels strong and only read own tarot sporadically where I feel like I need guidance. Not sure if this makes sense. Sometimes we have the answers within us, we just need to listen. That's just my opinion though of course  :P ;)

I was in denial of your message at first. Because I was about to get married because of the tarot cards 🙄 even though my feelings are I don’t really want to. I think you commented on my post for a reason.

Wow! That’s a very important decision… and it’s not my place to tell you what to do … plus, it sounds like you know what you want, but perhaps a couple of well-meaning suggestions -  meditating on this might be helpful … something I’ve been doing since before the summer … and it’s helped with a lot of answers… i am also doing further studies - and was deciding between two different courses… again, deep down I knew what was right for me but I did ask the universe to give me the answer in a dream … then nothing happened and I forgot about this request. Then, like a week or two later- I had THE dream.  ;) I honestly feel like I’m on the right path, career and education-wise, it is all going smoothly. Perhaps trust something similar might also give you guidance. Whatever your decision - I hope it makes you happy. ✨ :-*

THIS

When I ignore my gut, I do myself & others wrong. I've been there, too! Sometimes, it just seems too complex and so we seek out others "read". Absolutely nothing wrong with that. What I have learned is that truth has a different vibration than bullshit. As much as we want to believe something, there's a big difference and we know it when we hear it. After time I've learned the difference between "what resonates" vs. what I want to hear. Hugs to all!!

That literally happened to me! I made the request please give me a sign. Forgot about it. Had a dream of the situation and I literally woke up middle of night too so I didn’t forget it.
