« on: April 28, 2024, 11:35:46 PM »
Hi..

I need help. My psychic addiction is getting out of hand. I am scared to check my credit card bill, I am almost expecting the card to decline on me at any moment now. Please help, I'm scared.

Sadly, I dont think we are equipped to help other than to share our experiences

I recommend texting the crisis line: 741741
I used this a lot last year when my therapist recommended it (back when I had money for therapy). It is a suicide hot line, but they are there to calm the crisis down. There are other support lines but this is the one I used

https://www.crisistextline.org

They usually hear you vent and when you are calm enough to let heavy emotions pass they give some resources if you’re in domestic abuse, need a women shelter resource, types of depression apps. My guess is they would probably give you some kind of support perhaps point to financial resources or some kind of debtors anonymous - but maybe not. But if you been binging and maxed out your credit card and can’t stop then you need help to get you to stop… and yes it will hurt, because emotionally it’s not what you want to do.

I dunno
But if you’re in crisis we cannot evaluate and numbers like this are to support you to find guidance but they are free resources so don’t expect miracles - but it is something

So if you do have some kind of health insurance definitely check if they have like nurse line, or their type of crisis line

The best any of can recommend it to have courage to check your credit card. By Tuesday is you have stopped calling most of those have posted

From what I see you’ve been using CP (California psychics). Ugh like a bartender who has your credit card and they know you have problem you can put a cap amount … but most ppl have found this is just band aid to the root of the problem. When I did have CP I did change it a few times and then finally just closed CP, and even then i reopened it a few times… but eventually I kept CP closed. When you finally close CP to get back in you have to call and send an email to authorize your bank and or credit card as a form so THEY can protect THEMSELVES … not you. For me, I know CP is first a marketing company to keep you on the phone long as possible. The fabrication they cater to knowing your future is sadly a fantasy

I don’t know your financial situation so I don’t want to recommend closing your credit card, or putting a lock hold if you have reoccurring charges to that account

Because of my addiction I sadly did have to open a second bank account. Because I do gig work i got debit card with them to get paid instantly, it definitely helped when I let one bank go negative while I could help pay my much needed bills… after a certain amount days being negative the bank does close your account and reports it to negative stuff.

If you have good credit card company they are willing to haggle with you to make and lower payments. Actually even help stop payment from CP which would result in permanent closing your account with them until you have those debts paid off- but that’s one way to keep you calling CP for good

These are the start of worst case scenarios. I think I read on here about how some ppl have declared bankruptcy

Sadly, it’s still learning process but I cannot regulate my emotions with spending. This is life building skill for life and good one learning to regulate emotions.

I’m sure other will post suggestions soon enough

Hi Ivy. Well the only way is up! I’ve been in the same position as you. I’m trying to wean myself off the readings. I tend to listen back to recordings or re-read emails. I would love to get a reading today but just can’t afford it. My self distraction tactics are:
Listen to a recording of last reading
Watch TV/do household chores
Go to bed early

If I can resist so can you. Hang in there and I am sure you will get more advice soon 🤞

Hi Ivy!

I’m sorry you’re going through this - I have been there. Here are some things that have helped me wean off :

1) I’ve cut back bc a lot of advisors haven’t worked for me - predictions haven’t passed so now I really only approach one or two and that too not frequently bc predictions do not change dramatically between readings.

2) I’ve relied more on faith and where it makes sense, manifestation videos.

3) Trying to live my life - small trips, shopping, but if you don’t want to spend money, walking, meeting up with friends for coffee/ something small, reading, courses etc.

I’m not sure how to develop the emotional resilience or reduce the anxiety when someone doesn’t message back - that is my only trap and I’m still trying to figure that out. I may look into spending habits and emotional regulation and how to heal. I may also try therapy.

A few approaches that have helped me:

I created a journal with four columns:[/b] 1) The advisor's name, 2)date called, 3)what was relayed and predicted 4) any validated outcome
I realized that after several months, years of getting readings (well over 200), there were only two instances where predicted outcomes happened. You can do the math....that leaves 80% of readings being rubbish and just an outlet to relay my emotions. And, that wasted 805-90% of money I could have spent elsewhere. These advisors did not have answers I couldn't have received on my own.

I prayed more.  It's uncanny, but I have received the answers from I sought from advisors through prayer. I'm not saying everything has gone the way I want it to. But, in situations where I am perplexed on why I haven't received a promotion, etc.....the answers have come through prayer.  As an example, my company hired a woman as a VP and she made my life Hell. I had barely any interaction with her but she made it so I was left out of important projects that would propel me forward. She was hired out of nepotism. I must have wasted $3K on calls related to her.  It's when I stopped calling and just prayed for either answers or serenity that I learned the woman was fired.

We can't control our lives, but we can control how we seek answers and who we rely on for support.  So, this is what has worked for me.

Good luck to you.

Hello Ivy,
We can all relate here, if you read my story I have wasted over 5K in 3-4 years asking about an ex and I was left penniless, without savings, and without hope as 95% of predictions failed miserably. My father whom I partially depend on to this day financially, kept asking me where I spared all my money and I couldn't give him a straight answer. It was really embarrassing and self-humilating.

What has personally worked for me is getting free readings online (the sites where you choose your deck) or on YouTube, praying and fasting, and doing deep introspection to find out what subconscious fears and worries trigger my addiction and my attachment to certain outcomes. It helps if you speak with a therapist or like a member said, call a free helpline if you can't afford it.

I was able to break free from my addiction and limited myself to only two paid readings/year after 2019. So if I can do it and other members have managed to curb their addiction, you can do it as well. Don't beat yourself, just look for ways to control your addiction and you will, trust me.

Felt this one. I wasted thousands years ago on one person as well.

Really good advice from Lucky Star. I’ve been trying to cut down on readings and actually saved some money last month rather than struggling to make ends meet due to too many readings. If I can do this so can you and you can also stop completely if you want to 💐

Take a good look at how much you've spent and in what duration of time. Go back over your reading notes and chats and see how many were completely wrong. I mean this sincerely, find a counselor. There are bigger things going on in our lives when we are going through an addiction. Let us know how you're doing!
