Can we stick to the subject in threads please

I just need to say that its slightly annoying when you asking for opinions on a reader and the comments go off track.  Can we just stick to what the topic is.  Also why do people feel the need to quote the entire conversatio n instead of maybe the specific person they are responding to.  Maybe its just me but i really silly to scroll down after the quote for just one line.

I got it so if i want to quote you it includes what your quoting unless i hit quote and remove the additional stuff.  Ughh how tedious.  Thanks for clearing that up. Looks like i normally quote someone but they haven't quoted anyone else so i never noticed how it works.
